Thread veins are abnormally dilated small blood vessels, which lay very close
to the surface of the skin. They do not usually cause any discomfort, but they
are unsightly in appearance and can cause embarrassment.

The
most appropriate treatment for the removal of thread veins on the legs is Sclerotherapy.
Using a tiny needle, a sclerosing agent is injected in to the affected capillaries.
The fluid acts as an irritant that causes the vein to swell and close, preventing
the blood from flowing through it.
More than one treatment is usually necessary and each session takes around
30 minutes. Once the veins have been successfully treated they will not re-appear,
but this does not guarantee against the formation of new veins.
Many people undergo Sclerotherapy treatment, are delighted with the results
and experience an increase in self-confidence in situations where they may have
previously felt uncomfortable.

Skin tags are small flesh coloured flaps which appear on the neck, groin or
armpits. Moles are usually round, flesh coloured growths which can appear on
any part of the body. Skin tags and moles are easily removed by Cautery, Histofreeze
or Excision. Histology is included when necessary.
